日本最高的摩天大楼，大阪的阿倍野Harukas，将于11月4日星期日作为垂直马拉松世界巡回赛的第七站举行攀上1,610级楼梯的比赛，可以期待看到一些世界顶级运动员的比赛英姿。
第三届Harukas SkyRun中，约1500名参赛者将登上59层到达顶层。2017年的获胜者和纪录保持者将重新回到起跑线，为了获得宝贵的排名积分，垂直马拉松世界巡回赛选手会有激烈的竞争。
将被挑战的记录由上年刷新分别为波兰选手 Piotr Lobodzinski 及日本选手 Yuri Yoshizumi 的 8’34 及 10’14”。“I am very happy to come back to Japan for the third Harukas Skyrun. Previous years were lucky for me because I won two times. The stairs in Osaka are very steep which is what suits me,” Lobodzinski评论道。 “My last training sessions were perfect – better than last year before the race. I’m as strong and confident as ever.”

男子精英组将会看到前十名中不少于七名的精英选手，去年排名第二的澳洲选手Mark Bourne将代表Lobodzinski面临的最大挑战。
“I’m back in Osaka and am looking forward to the Harukas Skyrun on Sunday. It’s a tough race with a steep finish, but I’m keen to put in a strong performance,” Bourne说。
上届第三名日本选手Ryoji Watanabe将会挑战更高名次。爬梯的精英选手们还有比利时选手Omar Bekkali ，中国选手Liang Liang He及西班牙选手Ignacio Cardona, Mikel Besora 和 Antonio Soler。

Yuri Yoshizumi 是全力以赴的女子精英。 “Harukas Skyrun is my first VWC race for this year. I want to win because Osaka is my hometown and I would like to take three consecutive victories, but first of all I want to enjoy running and do my best.”
参赛的女子精英选手还有上届第二名波兰选手和第十名澳洲选手Iwona Wicha，第五名菲律宾选手Rosalyn Russell和第十名澳洲选手Brooke Logan。然而，一些对这项运动不熟悉的强大运动员可能会增加一个惊喜元素，例如南非选手 Esbé Strydom 和芬兰选手 Laura Manninen 。 “I’m a total rookie since I started tower running in September,” Manninen说。“It was just half of this vertical, so I have no idea what to expect, except a bit of pain and burning. I consider this as a learning trip towards Hong Kong which is my main goal this year, my ultimate dream.”
