国际竞速联盟自豪地为2019年垂直马拉松世界巡回赛赛站提供一个全新的摩天大楼和官方赛事场地︰Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81：Race to the Summit 在越南胡志明市举行的垂直跑比赛。
庆祝作为东南亚最高的建筑，2019年4月28日星期日的落成典礼将看到世界顶级的爬楼梯选手继首尔和米兰之后的垂直马拉松世界巡回赛的第三站比赛。
全新的 Landmark 81 是世界上第14高的摩天大楼，高耸于该市新中央商务区的西贡河西岸。
450名参赛者所面临的挑战将会是81层2,383级楼梯。如果计算平均速度为 2,300米/小时（根据国际竞速联盟的研究），估计创造记录的时间将会是男性约10分钟，女性则为12分钟以下。

七次垂直马拉松世界巡回赛世界冠军澳洲选手 Suzy Walsham，不到两周前在米兰 Allianz Tower 的赛事中获胜，将瞄准垂直马拉松世界巡回赛排名积分，迫不及待地想要在周日争线。 “I’m really looking forward to the new race in Vietnam. As a stair runner, it’s always exciting to be racing up a new skyscraper and it’s great for Vinpearl Luxury Landmark 81 and Ho Chin Minh City to be hosting this third leg of the Vertical World Circuit. It’s been a busy month of racing and I feel like I’m regaining my strength and fitness each week, so I’m hoping for a good performance on Sunday.”

看似无敌的波兰选手 Piotr Lobodzinski在两场胜利后领先排名，他说， “Every time I run a new building, I’m excited. If the race is in a new country, even better. I think I’m very well prepared for long distance stair case so I hope to keep my winning pace. It will be an interesting battle!” 他表示。
在4月14日的米兰比赛中，Lobodzinski仅仅以0.7秒领先于澳洲选手 Mark Bourne，他对此充满信心。“I’m really interested to what this brand new building is going to be like. I hope to set the record there!”
竞争积分并享受这个令人兴奋的新场地也包括目前排名第三比利时选手 Omar Bekkali，第四西班牙选手 Ignacio Cardona，和第七意大利选手 Emanuele Manzi。
