距离2019年垂直马拉松世界巡回赛发布的首尔赛站还有不到一周的时间，意大利米兰的第二赛站将在4月14日举行Allianz VERTICAL RUN，吸引不少于22个国家，一些世界上最好的运动员参加比赛。
刚好足够的时间喘口气，垂直马拉松世界巡回赛选手和其他顶级运动员将在首次出现在巡回赛的赛站上与500名选手一起挑战，赛站将额外获得25％的奖励积分。
The Allianz VERTICAL RUN 由 Allianz Italy 在其米兰总部 Allianz Tower 举办。它于2015年完工，是意大利最高的建筑物 – 楼层数量 – 49个竞赛楼层和1,027个台阶，攀爬200米到建筑物的屋顶.2018年的第一届赛事记录分别是意大利夫妻团队 Emanuele Manzi 和 Valentina Belotti 创立，分别为5’32“和6’44”。2018年排名前十位的男女精英选手中，至少有七人将成为激烈的竞争对手，其中包括世界排名第一的男女摩天大楼赛事明星。

五届垂直马拉松世界巡回赛世界冠军波兰选手Piotr Lobodzinski评论道︰ “After last weekend’s victory in Seoul, first stop of VWC 2019, I know that my preparation for the season is really good and my shape is improving. I will be back in Milan after eight years, where I took second place behind Thomas Dold in the Vertical Sprint. I’m really excited, and I can’t wait for the Sunday start.”
澳洲选手 Mark Bourne 将一路追赶，2018年总排名第二，他在首尔 – 巡回赛中最长的赛事仅仅落后Lobodzinski两秒钟。 “I’m really excited for my first stair race in Italy at the Allianz Vertical Run this weekend. It will be a much different race than Seoul last week, only five minutes instead of 15! Let’s see what happens!”

男子精英赛组还将包括西班牙选手 Ignacio Cardona，Antonio Soler，Mikel Besora;比利时选手 Omar Bekkali 和去年的比赛冠军 Emanuele Manzi。
去年澳洲选手 Suzy Walsham 取得第七次垂直马拉松世界巡回赛世界冠军头衔，长胜的她于首尔取得第二名。 “I’m really excited about visiting Milan and taking part in this new race on the circuit – the building and the staircase look amazing so it will be a great experience,” she said. “It’s an important race for VWC points (with the 25% bonus) so I’ll be doing my best to maximise my points.”
女子精英组别还有日本选手 Yuko Tateishi，菲律宾选手 Rosalyn Russel，捷克选手 Lenka Svabikova，英国选手 Sarah Frost和意大利选手 Valentina Belotti，以及去年冠军 Cristina Bonacina。

“The study is the continuation of research initiated several years ago and published in scientific papers based on the results obtained from skyrunners who participated in a similar event on the Pirelli and Palazzo Lombardia skyscrapers (respectively 127m and 161m high). The race up the 200m-tall Allianz Tower will represent an occasion to measure the same kind of event, but with nearly double the height,” Dr Roi 表示。
“The world’s strongest athletes of this discipline have given their consent to be monitored by the medical-scientific team. The results of the study will help to further define energy expenditure in skyscraper racing and furnish indications for training in this exciting new sports discipline,” 他总结道。
